Skyler went to the Dentist for the first time today! He did such an amazing job. They suggest that you start taking them between 18 months and 2 years, so I opted for the older. He was awesome. He didn't cry at all, he opened his mouth so that they could clean his teeth. It was such a difference from Domenic, who had to be sedated just to count his teeth. Course, Domenic improved with age and did just fine today as well. He has his 6 year molars coming in; Skyler has his 2-year molars coming. Both my boys are teething! Alexis is losing teeth just like a good little 7 year old should!
I love our dentist! He is Awesome! The first time Brandon came with me to the kids dentist appointment he was amazed! All the techs look like beauty queens, the dentist himself can't be any older than we are, they all wear baseball jersey's instead of scrubs and look like they all came straight out of a Vogue magazine. The entire office is decked out like an underwater adventure. The opening to walk into is a giant pirate ship, there is a castle to go into to get x-rays done, the kids get to choose loot from a giant treasure chest, Finding Nemo characters are painted all over the walls. Truly, it is Awesome! And of course there are the T.V.'s in the ceiling that you can play video games or watch movies on. The kids get to wear sunglasses. Love it!
When they are done with their visit each kid gets a token to ride the merry-go-round that is in the front lobby. Sorry the pictures are blurry, it was moving at the time. There are 3 seats and the kids group their coins together so they each get a chance to ride in each seat. They rotate after each turn!

That does sound like a great dentist! Sounds very similar to ours. I love it when doctors make kids appointments easier by having a fun environment to go to. :)
Awesome! I took my kiddies to the dentist last week. Auri actually said, "Hooray! we get to go to the dentist!" ???? I have never uttered such a sentence and never will. Our dentist is great too. TVs and all! Way to go kid dentists!
Wow. What a cool dentist. That's what I need for ME!! My kids all hate the dentist ... but, they're good for the most part). I REALLY hate going to the dentist ... so much anxiety. Sounds like this place really knows how to make it fun ... so ya forget about the anxiety. :)
that looks like the best dentist visit ever. I've never taken my kids. gasp....bad mom I guess or no insurance. hmmm. We'll get to that. You'll have to let me know who your dentist is.
That sounds like a fun place to go!! I wish mine was that cool! I mean, we have tv's on the celing, but I feel like I'm staring at my Dr's forehead and not the tv, so I just close my eyes.. and we have Game boys you can play. but that's not as cool as NEMO on the walls!! I guess that's the difference between general dentistry and pediatric dentistry. I almost went to work at one of the local pediatric dentists but decided against it for now.
A token for a merry go round is a very good idea for a prize.
You could do commercials for the guy.

Wow! Sounds awesome. And I thought my OBGYN's office was cool with his train set and kids' slide. I bet the kids love it there.
skyler looks so cute, such a big boy. i may have to my kids to your dentist, that sounds fun. i can't even get them in the chair to even have their teeth counted & they even had to use the bite stick on Race once, what a nightmare that was.
wow, and I thought Kaycee's kiddy dentist was grrreat. That is awesome.
