Square Foot Garden

I thought that I would post pictures of our fabulous square foot garden! It is doing so well this year! We have enjoyed fresh spinach salads at least once a week! We also have tomatoes, green peppers, peas, carrots, and yellow squash coming up! It is great to have a place to grow veggies!

Jenny sleeps over!

My sister Jenny stayed with us the other night! It was lots of fun! The kids love having their aunts come over and visit! We watched movies, went to the temple open house, and then we went swimming! It was lots of fun! We were glad to have you here Jennyannifer!!

Grandma and Alexis have a day out!

Alexis arranged with my mom to go out and have a date! She has figured out how to text on my phone and has long conversations with my mom! They started the day with a trip to the Ouqrrih Hills Temple Open House. We kinda snuck in on that one! The temple was beautiful! The chandeleirs are amazing!, the neatest things I have ever seen! It was fun!

Grandma and Alexis went out for a day of shopping! They did all the girly things you can imagine! They went shoe shopping (Alexis got 2 pairs of flip flops, lite up ones and Hannah Montana!), went earring shopping (which you can get a glimpse of in the photo) and got fancy feather headbands, went to Bath and Body works, Book shopping, and of course, got their make-up done. Check out Alexis's rainbow eyes! Both of them had such a great time!

Smore Fireworks

We started out the 4th with a ward breakfast and bike parade! We totally missed the breakfast and almost missed the bike parade! Skyler had a really bad night prior, and we all slept in! We made it just in time to slip into the parade though! The kids bikes looked awesome!

Truth be told our 4th wasn't exactly the greatest. We spent nearly the entire day at Primary's; Skyler's asthma hit a low and we couldn't get it in control. Things are doing better now though!

Brandon took the kids to the zoo while Skyler and I spent 6 hours in the ER. The kids had fun though! We were able to still make it home and enjoy yummy Steak Kabobs and watermelon outside in the backyard, then we went and watched the fireworks in Sugar House. It was fun!

We decided to make up for our crummy day on Sunday! That night we had another summer dinner outside under the gazebo, than we roasted marshmallows and made smores! Yummy! We love having a fire pit so readily available! We set off fireworks and had a great time! Domenic, Alexis and Skyler were in heaven! Fun times were certainly made!

Lagoon

We decided to spend the evening at Lagoon for our Stake day. Luckily you can get in free on those days, ride a few of the rides for free and just enjoy the atmosphere. We decided that we wanted to update our old pioneer pictures, so off we went! They turned out so cute! Domenic and Skyler are really old time cowboys at heart. It was hardly an effort to get them to look the part! Alexis wanted to be frowning in the picture, so she tried it out and has since decided "I look better when I smile!" We had to buy the cd and copyright so that we could enjoy all the ones that we loved!

The rest of the time we enjoyed riding the Music Express, the train, the merry-go-round, and the Tilt-a-Whirl. We had Skyler go on the tilt-a-whirl with me and the kids twice. The first time he did alright, but the second time he screamed at the top of his lungs the entire time. The guy running the ride had noticed and stopped the ride sooner than normal, and instead of letting us just spin to a leisurely stop, immediately stopped us and let us off. It was a hoot! We enjoyed watching the singing performances and let the kids get ice cream cones. We got the refillable mug; what a joke! I couldn't take it seriously at all, the thing was HUGE! Every time I picked it up or saw Domenic trying to just hold it up I had to laugh! Very funny!
